This high definition set uses a unique "TALEN XHD" light engine with Xtreme BLAC, which incorporates advanced design and technology to further enhance the home theater experience. PixelPure Hi-Bit digital video processing uses 12-bit picture processing (up to 14 bit internally) to create 4096 steps of gradation (steps between the whitest white and the blackest black) and will also incorporate improvements in areas such as: real speed progressive scanning, video noise reduction, sharpness, and gamma control to set a new standard for picture quality. Four step dynamic contrast allows you to customize the picture based on such factors as source material and ambient lighting conditions.
