Affordable and nicely portable at 6.2 pounds, the AS3004 is powered by AMD’s 1.8 GHz Sempron 3100+ processor and has a bright 15.4-inch LCD that takes advantage of Acer’s CrystalBrite set of display technologies, which provide great color saturation and excellent contrast in all environments. In addition to an integrated 54g wireless LAN, this notebook also includes Acer’s SignalUp technology--a super-efficient antenna is built into the case, creating an omni-directional sphere that extends signal range and quality. It also offers a 60 GB hard drive, up to 2 GB of RAM (512 MB installed), a combo CD-RW/DVD-ROM drive, and Windows XP Home edition operating system.
